Roy has successfully carved his way through the sophisticated Wellington gastronomy scene over the last 8 years. Originally from Malaysia, Roy found his calling to cuisine while assisting in his family’s restaurant, serving dishes which were renowned across the region and from there, his devotion to cuisine inspired the development of his flourishing career.
A plethora of positions and establishments shaped his strong vision and appetite for excellence and allowed Roy to develop his signature specialities of experimenting with innovative ingredients and discovering new avenues for creative plating. This foundation further developed his food philosophy, comprising of four elements: fresh produce, quality ingredients, passion for food and honesty.
